Did he listen to me? No. Is his absence from the team going to result in a string of painful six nations defeats as in all those previous years? Hopefully not, but the whoever the new captain is has big shoes to fill.

Oh and Sheffield Wednesday lost again yesterday. Down to 16th in the league. Squizz and I are going on Tuesday to watch some LDV vans entertainment v Scunthorpe, who beat us in the FA cup a few weeks ago.

I wonder how I'll feel about the Owls next season when I'm not in Sheffield any more. Apart from the inevitable season ticket at Murrayfield, will I watch much live sport?

MOVIES - Cold Mountain

Mooted as an oscar contender, not totally sure about it. The photography was supurb, and we enjoyed it at the time, but it has left me a little cold in retrospect. It reaffirms my belief that Jude Law, while very purrdy, can't act AT ALL. Renee's suppposedly superb performance seemed to revolve around her pouting a bit more than normal, and being surly with a grufff tomboy yee-haw accent!

Jude Law did stumble across Princess Amidala, and Renee Zelwegger married Jack White from the White Stripes! Apart from that - he went to war, was brave, went awol because he missed nicole, walked for four years, got back, copped off, shot the bad guy, got shot and killed, the end. I'd leave it and go and see Return of the King again.

Owls win away to the mighty Wrexham 2-1, and begin a meteoric rise up the second division - now up to 15th. (Wrexham beat us at home earlier in the season, watched by William and myself).

Ndumbu Nsungu and Alan Quinn scored - but is the latter soon to be a piggie?
