My good friend and old theatre box office boss boss David Flockhart and I are going to see the Magnetic Fields tomorrow. New album I and the masterpiece triple album 69 love songs are highly recommended.
We're also seeing brilliant Belgian art-rock band deus in a few weeks.
Other music in my itunes 'recently played' folder:
American Music Club's Love Songs for Patriots (always a good songsmith, but he needs his band), REM (new album, more of the same, which I like), Graham Coxon, Morrissey (surprisingly superb), Duran Duran (oh yes!), Keane, The Streets (as clear an insight into the world of pikeys as one could want), Ed Harcourt (much better than the last album, well done), Elliott Smith, Frank Zappa (Sheik Yerbouti).
